Video storytelling does not have to conform to one particular mold. Journalists can mix video clips, with still shots and soundbites in an effort to set a particular tone.
The only rule is that every choice made by the video editor needs to be done with the overall message in mind.
Take for instance this video done by the San Jose Mercury News (a traditional newspaper) for the online site. It tells the story of residents being forced out of their homes when a mobile home park is sold.
